Who We Are
Our goal at Chiro Spasm is to deliver a total-health solution by approaching our client's health from three principle directions: healing of the nervous system, bio-nutrients that heal on the cellular level, and the effects the emotional/mental state has on the physical body. To that end, the Chiro Spasm family is a carefully selected team of practitioners combining their expertise to best treat our clients.
Dr. Robb Tanella, Founder and CEO
As a young man, Robb Tanella was a pre-med student working towards dental school. One day, during a conversation with a professor, he was introduced to the concept that the body can heal itself. The next day the professor took Robb to see his chiropractor and the rest, as they say, is history. Dr. Robb said, "I listened to his patients on how good it feels to get adjusted and how their health problems were being healed without drugs or surgery. I knew right then what I was called to do." He immediately changed his life course and pursued his education in the art of chiropractics.
Dr. Tanella graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and is certified in four separate areas of chiropractic research.
He has earned advanced post-graduate certifications and degrees in:

Chiropractic Education
Chiropractic education has a foundation in the basic life sciences including coursework in anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, physical and laboratory diagnostics, radiology, physiology, pathology, nutrition, and public health. In addition, chiropractic education involves a detailed study of clinical sciences as well as clinical experience. Graduates have completed a minimum of six years of college education.
In fact, chiropractic education is similar to medical and osteopathic education except that these practitioners emphasize surgery and pharmacology while Doctors of Chiropractic focus on the diagnosis of musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders and treatment through clinically and scientifically established, yet non-invasive, procedures.
Doctors of Chiropractic have the expertise to diagnose, treat, and/or manage many different health problems. If diagnosis indicates that another type of care is more appropriate for the patient, Chiro Spasm will refer them to the proper treatment.

In accordance with the Law of Nature, that Law which God has prescribed to all men; and in consequence of my dedication to getting the sick well by the application of that Law, I promise and swear to keep, to the best of my ability and judgment, the following oath:
I will observe and practice every acknowledged rule of professional conduct in relation with my profession, my patient, my colleague, and myself.
I will keep an open mind regarding the progress of my profession, provided that these progressions shall be confined within the boundaries of the Chiropractic Science, Philosophy, and Art.
I will serve my patient to the best of my ability, violating neither his confidences nor his dignity, and in my associations with patients I shall not violate that which is moral and right.
I shall improve my knowledge and skill, firm in my resolution to justify the responsibility to which the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic symbolizes and imposes.
To all this, I pledge myself, knowing these ideals are prescribed by the dictates of Reason alone.
